Dean's Message

The School of Accounting of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (DUFE) has a rich history, which can be traced back to the department of accounting established when DUFE was founded in 1952. In 1995, the School of Accounting of DUFE was formally established, becoming the earliest accounting school in China. After more than 70 years of trials and hardships, the School of Accouning has made a consistent advancement and has won extensive social praise. By now, the major of accounting, financial management and asset appraisal have all been selected as "National First-class Undergraduate Major Construction Sites". In recent years, school faculties  have published dozens of academic papers on top journals, and many of them have acquired national research project supporting. In June 2021, Soft Science, a professional institution for higher education evaluation, officially released the "2021 Soft Science Ranking of Chinese Universities". The major of asset appraisal and financial management were rated A+, ranking top 2% in China, and the major accounting was rated A, ranking top 2%-10% in China.

In order to realize the vision of "To build a business school with international level and Chinese characteristics", the School of Accounting advocates the core values of "Responsibility, Inclusion, Innovation, Excellence". With the mission of "Cultivate outstanding business leaders with international vision and competitiveness, explore innovative higher education models, actively provide technology and management services for economic and social development, and promote China's economic prosperity and social progress", the School of Accounting endeavours to foster outstanding talents with a strong sense of social responsibility, innovative spirit and global vision. The School of Accounting strives to become a business school with significant influence in the Northeast of China, and even the whole country and the world.

Although the road is far away, as long as we go, we'll arrive. Although the things are difficult, as long as we do, we'll achieve. Looking forward to the future, the prospect is promising and we sincerely desire to working with the ambitious minds. We firmly believe that as long as all the faculty, staff, students and external stakeholders of the School work shoulder to shoulder, the vision of the School will be turned into reality.
