On March 21st, School of Accounting held a sharing session on “Break the Mist in Career and Draw the Employment Path — Face-to-Face Job Information” at Office 245 of Quanxue Building to promote the smooth and high-quality employment of the 2023 graduates. Jing Sui, director of the Department of Enrollment and Employment of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, was invited to share with the faculties and students. Hang Liu (Dean of School of Accounting), Xiaofang Dong (Deputy Secretary of General Party Branch), all counsellors, and some undergraduate and graduate students participated.
Director Jing Sui introduced the employment situation of the undergraduate and graduate students of School of Accounting in recent years, and analyzed the opportunities and challenges of the employment in 2023 according to the employment quality report. She pointed out that employment is not only closely bound up with the future of students, but also reflects the quality of personnel training. School of Accounting strives to improve the level of research and teaching, and to create more and better employment opportunities for graduates to enhance the social influence of the school and the universities, to attract outstanding students to apply to the School of Accounting, which is interconnected and complementary.
Director Jing Sui pointed out the problems and shortcomings in current employment work by comparing employment data from multiple universities, and put forward three suggestions for students to enhance their employment competitiveness. Firstly, have a depth understanding of the classification and development of different industries and enterprises, learn more about true needs of enterprises for talents. Secondly, match personal abilities, personalities and employment willingness with practical work, and fully understand what is suitable. Thirdly, on the basis of the first two suggestions, strive to improve personal abilities, seize opportunities and meet challenges.
The sharing session has increased students’ understanding of employment situation, strengthened their willingness of initiative employment, and clarified their direction of employment direction through various methods such as giving examples, listing numbers, and making comparisons, so that students have benefited a lot from it.
With striving to enhance the employment willingness and abilities of graduates, School of Accounting make more efforts to carry out action of “Visiting Enterprises, Expanding Positions, and Promoting Employment”. On the one hand, the school secretary and dean take the lead in going out to conduct the face-to-face communication with enterprises. On the other hand, we sincerely invite excellent enterprises to visit the school to promote precise abutment between the school, subjects, and enterprises, and to actively widen the channel of employment for graduates. In the future, School of Accounting will hold more employment service activities, actively follow the development of students’ employment, enhance students’ employment confidence, and provide assistance and guidance for graduates’ smooth employment.
