The School of Accounting conscientiously implements the work requirements of the Party Committee of the university on the theme education of learning and implementing the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, connects the wind of investigation and research with the theme education, combines with the central work and key work of the school, highlights the problem-oriented, goal-oriented and effect-oriented, and promotes the investigation and research to go deep and practical. On June 1, 2023, Dean Hang Liu of the School of Accounting, Secretary Yanli Chen of the General Party Branch, Vice President Kejing Chen, Director of Accounting Department Fajing Cui, Director of Financial Management Department Shuqin Song, Director of the Party and Government Office Bing Liu, and full-time organizer Xiaochen Lu went to the School of Accountancy of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics for research and study.
Dean Qinglu Jin, Vice Dean Qingsheng Zeng, Deputy Party Secretary Sha Huang, Professor Jun Huang and Associate Professor Yi Dong of the School of Accountancy of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics had an in-depth exchange with the delegation. During the meeting, Qinglu Jin expressed his warm welcome to the delegation of our school and both sides made a detailed introduction on the history evolution, faculty strength, talent cultivation, scientific research, international exchange and cooperation, and social services of their respective schools.
On behalf of our school, Hang Liu expressed his gratitude to the School of Accountancy of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics for its hospitality. He said that the two schools had deep friendships and close communication in the past, and he hoped that through this research and study, cooperation could be further strengthened and mutual benefit could be achieved in the future. He hoped that the School of Accountancy of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics could provide more learning and exchange opportunities for teachers and students of the School of Accounting of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics
During the meeting, Yanli Chen exchanged views on the exploration and practice of the construction of “one integration and two highs” of the General Party Branch of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, introduced the composition of the Party members and the General Party Branch of the School, and shared the experience and practice of continuously consolidating the ideological and theoretical foundation focusing on "two maintenance"; implementing the main responsibility of Party building work and strengthening the political and organizational functions of the grass-roots of Party organizations; giving full play to the nurturing function of Party building work and realizing the deep integration of Party building and the cause of higher education; coordinating development and security and implementing the main responsibility and supervisory responsibility of governing the Party in a comprehensive and strict manner.
Kejing Chen shared the characteristic experience in the process of talent cultivation, including the undergraduate class tutor and academic tutor system, the undergraduate academic talent incubation program, off-campus experts into the classroom, the summer camp for outstanding college students, and the joint training base for graduate students, and introduced the enrollment categories, four-in-one research system and the faculty structure of the school.
The two sides exchanged views on party construction, faculty construction, talent introduction and cultivation, education and employment work of students, discipline construction and degree cultivation, landmark scientific research achievements cultivation and cultivation of accounting talents in the age of intelligence, and had in-depth discussions on specific issues encountered in the work and the concerns of teachers and students.
Hang Liu said that there are many similarities between the School of Accounting of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics and the School of Accountancy of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and through this research and study, we have the opportunity to learn from the advanced concepts and effective practices of the peer faculties, and further clarify the ideas for our school to reach a new stage. It is hoped that in the future, the two schools can work together to speed up the pace of reform and development of the schools, continuously improve the level of schooling, jointly promote the high-quality development of accounting disciplines, serve the local social and economic development, and train and deliver more accounting talents for the country.
