On June 15, 2023, the higher education professional evaluation institution Shanghai Ranking Consultancy officially released the "2023 ShanghaiRanking’s Best Chinese Majors Ranking". ShanghaiRanking’s Best Chinese Majors Ranking is the undergraduate majors ranking of Chinese universities with the largest number of covering majors and the largest scale of participating majors. The ranking includes 787 majors, involving 93 first-level disciplines and 12 discipline categories.
In this ranking, the four undergraduate majors of School of Accounting of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics ranked among the best, including three A+ majors and one A major. Majors ranking A+: Accounting, Financial Management, Valuation (ranked first in China); Major ranking A: Audit (new added undergraduate major in 2022).
The best Chinese majors ranking evaluation system of ShanghaiRanking consists of five index categories: school conditions, subject support, student sources of the majors, employment of the majors, and major conditions, including 25 measurement indexes. The comprehensive evaluation of majors is divided into six levels, with the top 2% or top 2 being A+, 2% -10% being A, 10% -30% being B+, 30% -50% being B, 50% -70% being C (not released), and 70% being D (not released).
The honors of the four undergraduate majors of School of Accounting in this ranking mean that the discipline construction and professional level of the School always remain at the leading level in China.
