On March 16, Ms. Nan Shao, Director of North China Affairs of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Ms. Yan Song, Manager of ACCA Northeast Regional College Affairs, visited the School of Accounting. Associate Professor Kejing Chen (Deputy Dean of Teaching of the School), Ms. Yunyun Jin (Deputy Director of the Accounting Department), Yijun Liu (Teaching Secretary of the School’s Training Office), Peiyi Li, commissary in charge of studies of the English Accounting Class 1901, and Yuhang Liu, commissary in charge of studies of the English Accounting Class 2006, attended the meeting.
Deputy Dean Kejing Chen welcomed Nan Shao and the delegation and thanked ACCA for its support to the English Accounting (ACCA Direction Class) of International Accounting Direction of the School in recent years, and highlighted the development history of the School and its efforts to the development of ACCA Direction Class. Dean Chen hoped to continuously deepen the exchange and cooperation with ACCA and made some feasible suggestions for the development of both sides.
Director Shao introduced the development history of ACCA, its current global and domestic development and the operation of ACCA program in the School of Accounting of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics for more than ten years, and thanked the School of Accounting for its long-term contribution in cultivating ACCA talents and cooperation. Finally, she expressed her wish to deepen cooperation with the School and promised that ACCA officials could provide more support and services for the School, teachers and students.
Ms. Yunyun Jin, Deputy Director of Accounting Department of the School, shared the experience of ACCA education and hoped that the other party could provide more information through multiple channels to give students more confidence to persist in their studies. In addition, she also confirmed with the other party the current and future subjects that will be exempted from the exam, in order to adjust the curriculum in time. After that, the two commissaries in charge of studies also consulted the other party some questions about ACCA study and future development, and expressed that they would share the information obtained from today’s meeting with their classmates, encouraging them to persist in studying hard, consolidate their professional foundation and strengthen their professional ability.
Through the communication and exchange at this meeting, the two sides further deepened their understanding, clarified their needs and cooperation ideas, and jointly looked forward to continuing in-depth cooperation and strengthening cooperation linkage in the future, and improving each other and making progress together through exchanges.
