On July 8, 2023, the "2023 Academic Annual Conference of Accounting Society of China" was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, hosted by the Accounting Education Branch of the Accounting Society of China and undertaken by the School of Accounting at Zhejiang Gongshang University. More than 300 scholars from colleges and universities across the country attended the conference, and conducted in-depth discussions on the new requirements, new problems and new changes of Chinese-style modernization theory and Chinese-style modernization practice on the development of accounting academic research and accounting practice.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Zhiyuan Liu from Nankai University, President of the Accounting Education Branch of Accounting Society of China, and Professor Yonggui Wang, President of Zhejiang Gongshang University, delivered a speech. Professor Hanwen Chen from Nanjing Audit University, Professor Chaopeng Wu from the School of Management of Xiamen University, Mr. Donghui Li, CEO of Geely Holding Group, Professor Guoliu Hu from the School of Accounting at Zhejiang Gongshang University, Professor Minghai Wei, President of Guangzhou University, Professor Guoqiang Liu, Deputy Secretary General of Accounting Society of China, Professor Huacheng Wang, Vice President of Accounting Society of China, and Jun Chen from the Department of Finance and Accounting at Zhejiang University, Professor Qi Zhang, Director of Finance at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, and Dr. Song Tang, Chair Professor at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, delivered keynote speeches.
There were 24 parallel sub forums at the conference, including 7 topics such as Chinese-style modernization and ESG, and 331 papers were received. After review, 108 of them participated in the report. Zhengyuan Huang, a postgraduate from School of Accounting at Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, presented the collaborative paper with his supervisor, Professor Yuanyuan Liu, titled "Social Security Fee Reduction and Taxation, Corporate Expense Stickiness, and Digital Transformation: A Quasi-Natural Experiment from the 2019 Social Security Reform" at the fourth parallel conference (offline). He also conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions with other scholars on the research content.
Professor Guangguo Sun, Dean from the Graduate School of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, presided over the closing ceremony.
