From July 13 to July 17, 2023, the first "Academic Enhancement Training Camp" of School of Accounting in 2023 was held as scheduled in Room 245 of the Quan Xue Building. This Academic Enhancement Training Camp invited Professor In-Mu Haw from Texas Christian University in the United States as the main lecturer, with a total of more than 30 teachers and students from the school participating in this training camp.
In this training camp, Professor In-Mu Haw shared his understanding and experience of scientific research based on his own research experience. He detailed the precautions for publishing scientific research papers, methods to improve the probability of paper acceptance, and the importance of alleviating endogeneity issues. He particularly pointed out that we can conduct many valuable academic research with the unique Chinese context, as long as we observe and think more. In addition, Professor In-Mu Haw also shared his in-depth thinking on the field of supply chain and the latest research results, and discussed how to explore valuable research topics from the perspective of institution and corporate governance.
During the three-day training camp, the teachers and students actively engaged in interactive discussions. Everyone expressed that they have gained a lot in finding research topics and improving research design. The successful hosting of this training camp is of great significance for enhancing the scientific research level and international vision of our teachers and students.
