On the afternoon of October 10th, School of Accounting held a seminar on the Master degree cooperation project with Singapore Management University in Room 245 at Quan Xue Building. Hang Liu, Dean of School of Accounting, Kejing Chen, Vice Dean of School of Accounting, Associate Professor Jiwei Wang, Project Leader of Singapore Management University, Teacher Meng Li from Singapore Management University, Outstanding Alumni Yilin Du, and over 50 undergraduate students from School of Accounting attended the meeting. Kejing Chen presided over the seminar.
Hang Liu introduced the basic situation and international status of Singapore Management University, thanked Singapore Management University for its efforts in this cooperation, and expressed sincere hope for future cooperation between the two parties.
Jiwei Wang introduced the basic situation of the cooperation project, providing a detailed explanation of the academic environment, mentor situation, and employment of Singapore Management University, and course offered, characteristic superiority, learning requirements, application methods, scholarships, and other aspects of the project. He encouraged students to make good life plans and strive to become high-quality international talents.
As alumni of two universities, Yilin Du gave a wonderful sharing to the students present, including her experience of studying and working, the reasons for choosing Singapore Management University, and the employment situation of her classmates.
In the subsequent interactive session, the students also showed a strong interest in the cooperation project, and Jiwei Wang and Yilin Du answered the students' doubts online. Finally, Kejing Chen summarized the seminar and hoped that students would cherish the opportunity to participate in the project actively. At the same time, he warmly invited the leaders and teachers from Singapore Management University to visit Dongbei University of Finance and Economics.
The successful holding of this seminar has opened a window for undergraduate students from School of Accounting to communicate with Singapore and opened up a new path for students to study abroad in the future.
