On September 2, 2023, the 20th Conference on Financial Systems Engineering and Risk Management was held in Dalian Maritime University, hosted by the Financial Systems Engineering Technical Committee of Systems Engineering Society of Chian and Dalian Maritime University. The theme of the conference is "Financial Systems Engineering and Risk Management in the Digital Age". More than 300 experts and scholars from Renmin University of China, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and other colleges and universities, scientific research institutes and financial institutions attended this meeting to discuss about the utilization of financial systems engineering thinking and the integration of big data and artificial intelligence technology around the digital economy to carry out financial science and technology innovation, to prevent financial risks effectively, to promote the “collaborative innovation among the government, industry, academia, research and application” in the field of finance, and to promote the transformation of financial science and technology achievements.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Haibo Kuang, Director of the Institute for Dalian Northeast Asia International Shipping Center and Director of Collaborative Innovation Center for Transport Studies at Dalian Maritime University. Professor Beiping Chu, Vice President of Dalian Maritime University, Professor Xiaoguang Yang (Online), Chairman of the Systems Engineering Society of China, and Professor Xiong Xiong, Director of the Financial Systems Engineering Technical Committee of Systems Engineering Society of Chian, gave speeches successively. And Academician Shouyang Wang from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Wei Zhang from Tianjin University, Professor Chongfeng Wu from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Professor Xuezhong He from Xi’an Jiaotong-liverpool University, Professor Yong Zhou from East China Normal University, and Professor Cong Sui from Dalian Maritime University gave keynote speeches respectively.
During the group report, Xi Wang, the doctoral student from our school, reported his paper in collaboration with his supervisor Professor Hongxian Zhen, "How to Structurally Deleverage - Based on the Perspective of Corporate Sustainable Value Creation", which triggered a lively discussion among the delegates.
