From October 28 to October 29, 2023, the 20th Chinese Finance Annual Meeting, hosted by the Council of the Chinese Finance Annual Meeting and the Central University of Finance and Economics, was successfully held in Beijing, with more than 1,200 experts and scholars from colleges and universities worldwide attending the meeting to discuss hot topics such as Corporate Finance and Governance, ESG, Fintech and Virtual Currency, Macro-Finance, Climate Risk and Finance, Asset Pricing, Financial Market Microstructure, Monetary Theory and Policy, etc. The meeting aims to exchange and share the situation of latest research results, progress of application as well as policy formulation and implementation, and to promote the cutting-edge research and innovative cooperation in the field of finance.
The opening ceremony was Presided over by Professor Xueyong Zhang, Dean of School of Finance, Central University of Finance and Economics. Xiuchao He, Secretary of the Party Committee of Central University of Finance and Economics, Professor Liqing Zhang, Chairman of the 20th Chinese Finance Annual Meeting, Professor Wenfeng Wu, Chairman of the Council of the 20th Chinese Finance Annual Meeting, and Professor Zhenlong Zheng, Secretary General of the Council of the Chinese Finance Annual Meeting, delivered the opening speeches. Professor Yang Li, Chairman of the National Institution for Finance and Development, Professor Jianjun Li, Vice President of Central University of Finance and Economics, and Professor Liyan Yang of University of Toronto delivered keynote speeches respectively.
There were 112 sub-forums in the meeting. Jia Li, the doctoral student from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, reported his paper "Research on the Effectiveness of Quasi Financial Stability Guarantee Fund - Based on the Perspective of Risk Contagion in Stock and Bond Markets" in collaboration with his supervisor, Professor Hongxian Zhen. Professor Ling Feng and Professor Lei Chen from Fuzhou University commented the paper, which triggered a lively discussion among the delegates.
