On the morning of October 27, 2023, the 22nd (Total 183rd) DUFE Ÿ Accounting and Finance Forum was held in Room 245 of Quan Xue Building as scheduled. Professor Zhigang Qiu shared an academic paper entitled "The Boundary of Open Data: Implications for Financial Market and Real Efficiency".
The report focused on the impact of open data boundary on financial markets and real efficiency. Specifically, data openness will face costs including privacy and price discrimination, and social planners will decide on the extent of data openness based on information reflected in financial markets efficiency and real efficiency, which in turn will affect results in terms of financial markets efficiency and real efficiency. The interaction makes the social planners optimize the extent of data openness, i.e., the open data boundary. In the report, Professor Zhigang Qiu introduced the background of the study and the model building process in detail, and discussed in depth the issues such as the optimal open data boundary, which aroused high attention and active discussion and exchange among the participants.
